How to play

• A classic crossword with clues — hundreds of hand-crafted grids in English, not random word fills.
• Numbered clues appear next to the grid: "Across" and "Down". Click a clue or a square to select a word; clicking the same square again toggles between the across and down word.
• Type on your keyboard or use the on-screen keyboard. Arrow keys move the selection, Tab jumps to the next word.
• "Check" marks wrong letters in red, and a hint (max 3) reveals one letter.
• The daily crossword is the same for every player and changes at midnight. You can also choose a difficulty — easy, medium or hard — and we pick a fresh random crossword each time.
• Your progress, time and stats are saved in your browser.
